Color Symbolism

RED - is the color of passion and sexuality.
Using red encourages a person to desire and to take action based on desire.

Why would a smart person at Target marketing pick this logo?

RED EXERCISE

ORANGE - is the color of spontaneity, impulse and change when lots of energy is available.
Using orange helps a person choose quickly and on impulse.

See the Jack in the Box logo in the background? Why would the smart guy at Jack in the Box choose orange for the logo? What about the use of strong primary colors? What does this say, suggest, symbolize and encourage in patrons?

Please remember while you study the logo and write the answer that you in the process of improving your intuition. You are nurturing your right brain with this sort of exercise.

ORANGE EXERCISE

GREEN - is the color that represents growth with stability and nurturing.
Using green attracts people to relax and thrive.

GREEN EXERCISE

BLUE - is the color that symbolizes harmony, peace and balance.
Using blue calms people down.

BROWN - is the earthy color that represents things which are down to earth and reliable.
Using brown can give people a feeling of dependability with your product or service.

Artist Marina Raye uses many different shades of blue and the color brown on her website and on the covers of her CDs. Please comment on the appropriateness of this for the message she is trying to get across. Do not comment on her as an artist. Visit the website and then return to complete and submit the form.

BLUE AND BROWN EXERCISE

BLACK - contains all colors and sometimes represents power, depression, death or grieving. (Black is not the grieving color in all cultures. In China, for example, white is the widow's color.)
Using black can be impressive and make you seem important. Black is one of the power colors.

This is the logo for the Oakland Raiders and it is a complicated image with several different ideas and symbols. Tell me about it. Or, choose this one instead to discuss a BLACK logo. [You can do both if you want to learn faster. It is DOING the exercise that actually increases your ability. Remember there is no "right" or "wrong" answer.

WHITE - contains all colors and sometimes represents purity.
Using white suggests your motives are pure.

Think of some things that are always white. Email me with your list.

YELLOW - symbolizes aspiration and intuition.
Using yellow is uplifting and inspiring. It encourages people to be cerebral in their choice because it encourages them to think.

Do you recognize this symbol? If you do, tell me why you think it's appropriate. If you don't, try to guess from the color and images, the general characteristics of the thing it stands for, I.e, What does the rearing horse suggest? What do the black and white checks suggest? What about the color yellow?

PINK - represents heart love and healing.
Using pink emphasizes empathy and compassion. It is not a power color.

PURPLE - represent the royal color and sometimes arrogance and wealth as well.
Using purple suggest that your product or service is of rare quality and desirable because of exclusivity.

LAVENDER - is the higher spiritual vibration color. Sometimes it represents clairvoyance and spirituality.
Using lavender draws people who are on a higher vibration, who see more to life than eating, sleeping, having sex and making money.

Prill Pure Water Beads sit at the bottom of her water pitcher and purify her water for healing and gently releasing toxins. Remember as an intuitive, you can't be judgmental. If this little ritual means something to Naomi, then it is meaningful and significant to her without question and that is all that matters. These kinds of exercises and this way of thinking may seem silly to you but it is one of the best ways proven to work that intuitive muscle. Pretty soon -- all of a sudden, all at once -- you'll be using a lot more of your right brain and intuition.
